What a wonderful site!  I worked at SWS from 1987 to 1996 as the receptionist/switchboard operator and recognise a few of the faces and names on here.  Have many good memories of working there - they were good times indeed! I look forward to visiting here again

It is very rewarding to think that an ex S.W.S apprentice based thousands of miles is prepared to devote his time and effort to keep S.W.S alive, and I hope that it will become the SOUTH WALES SWITCHGEAR SITE, where ex employees throughout the World will be able to keep in touch. Keep up the good work Colin, Sir Alfred would have been proud of you

Thanks Krys for letting me know that the name of the Manager of the Jig & Tool Dept, was John Spruce. She said she saw him in the Miners Institute in March - still playing his organ all over the place!

Thanks to Roy Isaacs who helped out my memory by supplying some of the names I had forgotten. Nice one Roy I am sure you can add blogs to this page and hopefully you can add the picture you have of SWS from your carrotman site?
