The Maintenance Team on an evening out
Picture donated by Maureen Jones -The maintenance team on a night out photo has the following story. Stuart James a maintenance fitter was to be given a BEM (British Empire Medal) awarded to someone in industry for work done in the community.Stuart was a Justice of the Peace.He was the Branch Secretary of the AEU. and he ran the Blackwood boys Brigade.Stuart died of an heart attack before the event and the medal was awarded posthumously to his wife Sandra. That is why the maintenance team of men and one woman (Sandra) are in the photo.
